What Is The 1824 in Austin Point?

The 1824 is Austin Point's 2.5-acre community social hub, and it's unlike anything else in Fort Bend County right now. Developed by The Signorelli Company, this is Phase 1 of what's being designed to become the connective tissue of the entire community — a place where residents can gather, unwind, work remotely, and build real relationships with their neighbors.

The name itself is a nod to the historic year that the original landowner, William Tennant Austin (a distant relative of Stephen F. Austin), officially received the title to the land in Fort Bend County, Texas, a fitting tribute for a development that's setting a new standard for community living in the region.

Located at 4805 North Star Trail, Richmond, TX 77469, The 1824 is designed to be the first thing residents and visitors experience when they enter Austin Point — and it absolutely delivers on that promise.

What Does The 1824 Have to Offer?

I wasn't fully prepared for how large and well-thought-out this space is.

  • A stunning standalone building with vaulted A-frame ceilings that let in an incredible amount of natural light — perfect for working, meeting up with friends, or just relaxing with a drink.

  • Plenty of communal seating, including bar seating, covered pavilion areas, and outdoor gathering spots with room for future fire pits and televised events in the cooler months.

  • A game area designed specifically for kids, giving families a reason to walk over and stay a while.

  • An outdoor concert and event lawn that will host live music, holiday celebrations

  • Remote workspaces and free community Wi-Fi, making it a practical everyday destination, not just a weekend hangout.

  • A food truck court and nature trails rounding out a lineup of amenities that genuinely rival established communities like Cinco Ranch.

Who Is Honor Society Coffee Co. at The 1824?

The food and beverage experience at The 1824 in Austin Point is anchored by Honor Society Coffee Co., a beloved Tomball-based roaster and café founded by Billy and JoJo Schiel. This Austin Point location marks their first-ever expansion, and it's easy to see why they chose to grow here.

Current hours are 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Sunday.

The menu features thoughtfully crafted coffee drinks, specialty and seasonal beans available for home brewing, fresh salads, paninis, and grab-and-go bites. Fan favorites already include the Salty Texan and the Pretty in Pink — and beer and wine service is coming later this summer, making Honor Society a morning-to-evening destination.

Billy Schiel put it best: their goal isn't to create the culture at Austin Point — it's to give that culture a place to live and grow.

What's Coming Next at Austin Point?

Austin Point is planned for approximately 14,000 dwellings along with commercial space, and the future extension of the Fort Bend Tollway and the Grand Parkway are slated to intersect right in the heart of the community. That kind of infrastructure investment signals serious long-term growth — and serious long-term value for buyers getting in now.

Phase 1 already features rear-loading garage homes designed around walkability, with front-facing porches across the street from The 1824 itself. The concept is intentional: this isn't a neighborhood where you pull into your garage and disappear. It's built for people to actually see each other.

If you want a frame of reference, think Cinco Ranch — but for the next generation.
